The health and safety of JCC Maccabi Camp Kingswood campers and staff is our primary concern. Every precaution is taken to safeguard the physical and emotional well being of each child. We take great pride in our record of healthy, happy and wholesome summers.

The Health Center is staffed by two registered nurses (RNs) who are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A physician is also on call at all times. The local hospital, which has a fully equipped Emergency Room, is located one mile from the camp grounds.

Nutritious, well-balanced meals are prepared in our Kosher kitchen by our chef/manager. The full menu includes a salad bar, fresh fruit and vegetarian dishes. Weekly barbecues and special theme meals are also enjoyed by all campers. The food service is inspected and approved annually by the Maine Department of Health.

On the waterfront, JCC Maccabi Camp Kingswood follows an American Red Cross program. All waterfront activities are taught and supervised by certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructors and lifeguards.

Campers can purchase a variety of sundry and stationery items, camp clothing, and snacks up to three times per week through Canteen. Laundry is done weekly.
