Kathy Jonas, Director of JCC Maccabi Camp Kingswood

She brings a wonderful combination of professional experience, community service and a passion for camping to the position. Kathy joined Kingswood in 2003 with 18 years of experience as a college student affairs professional.  A native of Worcester, MA, Kathy now resides in Brookline, MA with her husband and two sons. In addition to her professional commitments, Kathy is active in the community.  For 4 years Kathy participated as one of fourteen camp directors selected to be a JCC Senior Fellow in a leadership program entitled "Lekhu Lakhem--Jewish and Educational Journeys for JCC Camp Directors."  This program is sponsored by the JCC Mandel Center for Jewish Education and the AVI CHAI Foundation.  She will also continue to be a part of the ELI Program, an 18 month Camp Director's leadership course offered by the Foundation for Jewish Camp.

Ken Cotton, Assistant Director and Boys Unit Head

This will be Ken's seventh summer at Kingswood.  After spending 10 years in the business world Ken decided to do what he truly loved, teach children.  He has been teaching for 7 years most recently working with children 5th grade.  This experience has given Ken great insight into the kinds of activities that work for children in these age groups.  He has also coached for 12 years in a variety of sports including lacrosse, baseball, basketball and soccer.   His boys, Jacob, who will be 14, and Jared, who will be 12, and their dog, Jesse, will also be joining us for another summer.  His wife, Dyan, will join us on the weekends.

Judy Myers, Girl's Unit Head

This will be Judy's sixth summer at camp and we are thrilled that she, and her family, are returning!  Judy is currently a reading specialist in the Medfield Public Schools.  Her daughter Morgan and son Josh will  be joining us for the entire summer.  Her husband, Steven, will join us on the weekends.

Robert Willis, Boy's Unit Head

This will be Rob's fifth summer at camp.  Many of us at camp know him as "Nature Rob!"  He has brought such wonderful traditions as "Mustache Thursday" the ever popular evening activity "Team Challenge" to camp.  Rob lives in North Carolina, when he is not at camp, where he is the Director of an after-school program.

Eric Bloomberg, Caretaker

This is Eric's 8th year as camp Caretaker.  During that time he has made sure that everything at camp is in tip top shape for our use and enjoyment.  When it comes to building new or repairing old there is nothing Eric can't do!  During the summer Eric helps the theatre staff construct the musical sets and teaches a building course for older campers.  Our camp community is lucky to have him as a part of our team.  He and is wife Jill live in Fryeburg, ME.
